The ReShade ray tracing shader RTGI 0.33 is incredibly versatile. It works on a wide range of hardware, from high-end RTX cards to older GPUs like the GTX 1050 or Radeon HD 6770M. Here is a list of games where users have successfully run RTGI:
Check the box for your game’s active resolution depth buffer.

Disable the game’s native Ambient Occlusion (SSAO/HBAO). RTGI replaces it and will conflict, causing double-dark shadows.

At its heart, RTGI uses a Monte Carlo path tracing algorithm. It sends out many "probe" rays from each pixel on your screen to sample the incoming light. However, because it's a screen-space effect, it only considers the information in the current camera view. This means light from objects off-screen won't be reflected, but the result is still a massive improvement over standard static lighting or basic SSAO.
